DESCRIPTION
- Tolu balsam comes from South American tree and is closely related to tree yielding Peru balsam. With main constituents being benzyl- and cinnamyl esters of benzoic acid and cinnamic acid, it is used as fixative agent in perfumes.
- The magnificent absolute of Tolu Balsam comes in a dark brown color having an herbaceous fragrance. Due to its intense balsamic aroma, it is used as a chief ingredient in the aromatic industry for the production of aromatic products. It works magically on numerous skin troubles such as acne, pimples, wrinkles and many more. It is obtained from the crude Tolu Balasam resin secretion of Myroxylon balsamum tree by alcohol washing of crude tolu balasam. Tolu Balsam tree is scientifically known by the name of Myroxylon balsamum. The tree of Tolu Balsam is said to be originated from France. Tolu Balsam is also known by the name of Balsam of Tolu (a variant of balsam of Peru). It is the resinous secretion of Myroxylon balsamum.
