Confectionary

Confectionery in general is a term that is used for food items that are high on sugar. These items include pastries, cakes, chocolates, gum, toffees etc. The organized sector of the confectionery market is estimated to be Rs 1400 crore and it is estimated that the market is consistently growing at a pace of 9 per cent per annum. The confectionery items are broadly divided into four categories, namely chocolate confectionery, sugar confectionery, gum and cereal bars.
